Schütz Group acquires Euro-Composites

The EC Group comprises companies in Luxembourg (Echternach), the United States (Culpeper) and Germany (Bitburg), with around 1000 employees, all of which will be fully retained as part of the transaction. The existing management team will also remain in place and will continue to run the EC Group’s business in cooperation with the Schütz Group. This guarantees continuity and security for all employees as well as for customers.

Company founder Rolf Alter, who established and successfully built up the EC Group more than four decades ago, is stepping down from active business and entering well- deserved retirement. “After an eternity of leadership responsibility and with all my passion, I am truly delighted to have found an excellent succession solution for my life’s work. I am taking this step carefully and with full commitment to the future of our company. I am convinced that Euro-Composites will continue to grow and thrive within this new framework,” said Rolf Alter on the announcement.

The Schütz Group intends to further strengthen the EC Group’s market position in the coming years through targeted investments in innovation, research and development, as well as the expansion of international sales structures. All EC Group employees have already been informed about the succession solution at their respective locations. The focus now is on ensuring a smooth integration process while continuing to live by the company’s values – quality, innovation and reliability – into the future.
