Lamilux Expands GFRP Applications for Vehicles, Hygienic Cladding

Lamilux Composites GmbH (Rehau, Germany) is a family-run business whose glass fiber- reinforced polymer (GFRP) material offerings are serving vehicles, hygienic wall and ceiling cladding, and temperature-controlled transport applications.
In March 2026, the company presented GFRP products for commercial vehicle construction at the Road Transport Expo (RTX) 2026 in Stoneleigh, U.K. Materials shown included Lamilux Sunsation, a gelcoat for exterior sidewalls described as UV- and weather-resistant; Lamilux High Impact for interior walls; Lamilux Anti Slip flooring; and Lamilux AntiBac, an antibacterial surface material the company says is suited to food and pharmaceutical transport.
The company is also previewing its offerings at events like Salon Düsseldorf 2026, where it plans to highlights GFRP system solutions spanning a caravan’s exterior skin, interior and floor, including Lamilux Sunsation; Lamilux HG 4000 high-gloss panels; the High Strength X-treme line; and interior materials LamiGraph, LAMIfoamtex, DualStructure and LAMIstructure. The company’s CompositeFloor product is also positioned for recreational vehicle flooring. Lamilux’s presence at Transportation 2026 in Hanover is aimed at the commercial vehicle, bus and last-mile sectors, the centerpiece being a demonstrator box body intended to show material performance for dry freight and temperature-controlled transport with a focus on low weight, mechanical strength, and hygiene and insulation properties.
In April 2026, the company detailed a completed project for HAUBIS, a bakery in the Mostviertel region of Lower Austria, where a new production facility built in 2025 was outfitted with Lamilux’s embossed HSF panel — a 2.3-millimeter structured GFRP product with a heat-sealable film — across production, preparation and packaging areas. Resch, HAUBIS’ head of production engineering, says that the panels’ large-format availability (up to 2.5 meters) reduces installation joints and potential weak points, and that the material’s cleanability compares favorably to tile or stainless steel, which can chip, corrode or streak under repeated chemical cleaning.
