The Wallonia Composites Learning Network launches in Belgium

The Wallonia Composites Learning Network is a new composites apprenticeship network in the region of Wallonia in Southern Belgium. It has been formed in collaboration with Sirris Innovation Forward (Brussels, Belgium) and with the support of the EDIH-WalHub project, which accelerates digital transformation for manufacturing companies.

Composites Wallonie kicked off its 2025 training program with a session on Industry 4.0 for composites with presentations from composites Tier supplier Sonaca (Gosselies) and equipment/technology supplier Coexpair (Namur). Hosted by Sonaca, the event was attended by 22 companies representing the full composites value chain.

Further sessions planned for 2025-2026 include:

• Use of sensors in composites (October 21, 2025)
• Modeling and simulation (Q1 2026)
• Circularity and recycling of composites waste (Q2 2026).
