Two Daher aircraft models are gaining momentum in Brazil: the TBM and the Kodiak. To support their commercial development and provide operational support to customers, Daher has decided to strengthen its presence in the country by opening an office in São Paulo. As the new headquarters for Daher Aircraft in Brazil, this office will enable the local team to manage customer relations, fleet support and the development of the TBM and Kodiak.
“With a booming private and utility aviation sector and growing demand for high-performance, utility aircraft, our TBM and Kodiak models are perfectly suited to Brazil’s operational needs,” said Nicolas Chabbert, General Manager of the Aircraft Division. “Establishing a local presence will enable us to better support our customers and underscores our commitment to participating in the future of Brazilian aviation,” he added.
A composite propeller to cover the entire continent
The pressurised six-seater TBM model has a maximum cruising speed of 610 km/h and a maximum range of 3,204 kilometres for its latest TBM 960 model, making it perfectly suited to cover the entire Latin American continent. It is equipped with a five-blade Hartzell Raptor composite propeller.
The Kodiak family is equipped with STOL (short take-off and landing) capability. These non-pressurised aircraft provide access to remote areas and are suitable for agricultural sectors, passenger/VIP transport and public safety missions.
The Kodiak 100 combines STOL performance on unimproved runways or at high altitudes with a high payload of 1,600 kg and a 10-hour endurance capacity. It is also designed for float operations without structural modifications and benefits from industry-leading anti-corrosion treatment to withstand saline environments.
The larger Kodiak 900 inherits the handling qualities of the Kodiak 100 while offering a 1.19 m longer fuselage for more cabin space and cargo capacity. Its cruising speed has been increased to 390 km/h with a payload increased to 1,646 kg, for a maximum range of 2,091 km.
