Thermoset TopCon 2024 focuses on sustainability

Thermoset technology conference and expo SPE Thermoset TopCon announces that it will feature a variety of presentations on sustainability. Thermoset TopCon is taking place April 30 – May 1, 2024 at the Monona Terrace and Convention Center in Madison, Wisconsin.

Manufacturers of products using thermoset materials, or those interested in learning more about how thermoset technology will benefit their products and manufacturing processes, are invited to register for the event for free. Those thermosets-focused companies that are based in Wisconsin — including Oshkosh, Harley-Davidson, Kohler, Milwaukee Tool, Mercury Marine, CASE Construction Equipment, Komatsu, Trek Bikes, Rockwell Automation, GE HealthCare, Plexus and others — are especially encouraged to register since the conference venue is nearby.

“Thermoset plastics are the strongest and most versatile materials for a multitude of products where structural integrity, lightweighting, and heat and corrosion resistance are important,” notes Sean Campbell, sales and marketing manager, engineered composites, at Lyondellbasell (Houston, Texas, U.S.) and SPE Thermoset Div. chair. “Sustainability is an important focus for all manufacturers, and this year’s event will enlighten and educate industry regarding advancements in thermoset technologies and how they are environmentally sound solutions for many applications.”

The SPE Thermoset TopCon 2024 will also feature technical presentations and exhibits highlighting advances in materials, processes and equipment for thermoset technologies in multiple applications. Marcy Offner, director of events and industry partnerships for Composites One (Schaumburg, Ill., U.S.) and founder of Women in the Composites Industry (WCI), will present a keynote “Empowering Women In Composites: Building Bridges And Strengthening The Industry.”

The two-day conference includes networking breakfasts, lunches and a cocktail reception. Optional social events, including a tour of the Polymer Engineering Center (PEC) at UW – Madison, and a golf outing at the University Ridge Golf Course, are offered on April 29, the day before the conference begins.
