The award commemorates the technical and humanitarian contributions of Wayne W. Stinchcomb and recognizes Rousseau’s significant contributions to the advancements of composites technology and his Memorial Lecture delivered in 2024.
An ASTM International member since 1987, Rousseau has also been honored with the Outgoing Chairman Award (2011), the Award of Appreciation (2002, 2015), the Distinguished Service Award (2012) and the Award of Merit (2017).
Rousseau’s career focus is composite structural analysis methods, testing and design allowables development. He attained his current position at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in 2025 but has been with the company since 2001, prior to which he worked with GE Aircraft Engines and Bell Helicopter.
Rousseau earned his doctoral degree in engineering mechanics from Clemson University in 1994.
