Popovec Phil, Ineos senior vice president of global operations for composite materials, was among the executives present at the ceremony.
In his speech, Popovec Phil highlighted the past development of Ineos Composites, expressed his expectations for the completion of the project, and also emphasised that the Ineos Group always prioritises safety in construction and production.
This production expansion project not only demonstrates Ineos Group’s commitment to developing the composite materials market in the Asia-Pacific region, but will also further enhance product R&D, delivery and service capabilities in the Asia-Pacific region.
Ineos Composites was created after the acquisition of the entire composites business from Ashland Global Holdings Inc. in 2019. The businesses included in the transaction at the time had combined sales of more than US$ 1.1 billion per year. Ashland’s Composites Business has become Ineos Composites and claims to be a global leader in unsaturated polyester resins, vinyl ester resins and gelcoats. Ineos Group then announced that the business will continue to provide a wide range of gelcoats and corrosion-resistant fibreglass reinforced plastic (FRP) and will be run by the Ineos Solvents business.
