With the rapid growth of Chinese carbon fibre production capacity, the cost of carbon fibre reinforcement has dropped significantly, and the application of carbon fibre composite materials in the field of civil engineering will be more cost-effective, according to Shanghai Petrochemical.
Shanghai Petrochemical says it will develop thermoplastic carbon fibre rebar materials to solve the problem that traditional thermosetting carbon fibre rebar materials cannot be reprocessed on site, thereby forming a new generation of all-carbon fibre rebar material construction technology.
