Hammerhead thermoplastic composite panels from Avient enable modular construction efficiency at Resia. Source | Avient Corp.
Avient Corp. (Avon Lake, Ohio, U.S.) announce a successful collaboration with customer Resia (Miami, Fla., U.S.), a vertically integrated real estate company that specializes in developing, building and managing multifamily communities. Through its Resia Manufacturing (RM, Fairburn, Ga., U.S.) subsidiary, the company specializes in the fabrication of bathroom and kitchen pods for modular construction across the U.S.
Using its Resia Production System (RPS), along with a patent-pending panel system, RM produces high-quality, fully assembled, ready-to-install kitchen and bathroom components for residential buildings. The company’s HybridFabrication process is reported to enable highly efficient production of components, complete with mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, from its 252,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Fairburn. Completed components are then transported to construction sites, where they are quickly installed. This process reduces construction timelines by up to 30% while improving quality and reduces on-site labor by 40%, enhancing safety and efficiency.
RM incorporates Avient’s Hammerhead continuous glass fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite panels into its interior wall systems in bathroom and kitchen modules. The large-format sandwich panels provide a lightweight structural solution that is faster to assemble than traditional stick-framed drywall or gypsum wall systems.
“Hammerhead composite panels are a cost-effective and durable solution for our wall systems,” emphasizes Mitch Sklar, director of manufacturing quality at Resia. “Our collaboration with Avient has helped us to further streamline our manufacturing processes, allowing us to meet production targets quickly and efficiently.”
