A more affordable machine
To design this new machine, the Pollen AM teams have miniaturised pellet extrusion technology (Pellet Additive Manufacturing). This technology is recognised as one of the most flexible and open on the market.
The brand’s historic model, pam o2, was dedicated to research applications, good material prototyping and small production runs. The printing volume of Pam Pro, larger than pam o2, has been greatly increased to 680 x 680 x 500 mm.
From complex, larger prototypes to production, Pollen AM has increased the printing speed of Pam Pro by a factor of 6, while maintaining the high resolution of its previous solutions. The extrusion head, capable of printing 500 mm per second at over 300°C, measures between 0.25 and 2.5 mm. It can be adapted in an IDEX version, i.e. with 2 extruders, for multiple mirror or multi-material prints, for example. Equipped with a real-time monitoring camera, an AI dedicated to defect detection can be implemented in the printing chamber.
What’s more, the 3D printing process is fully automated. As a result, the reduced need for manual operations (automatic calibration and Z0) makes the Pam Pro more accessible to less experienced users.
“With our flagship Pam o2 model, we wanted to position ourselves as experts, with the manufacturer providing the necessary support before the sale. Now we’ve broadened the spectrum with Pam Pro. We have made sure that this solution is automated and therefore accessible to all manufacturers who want to produce using additive manufacturing. So we can now more easily call on the distribution networks, which our new Sales Director Jimmy Littmann knows well from his previous experience“, explains Didier Fonta, Managing Director of Pollen AM.
New markets and new ambitions
Pollen AM is reaffirming its objective of meeting current market needs with a universal solution using a variety of certified and accessible materials. Pam Pro already has a wide range of printable materials: PLA, TPE (45 Shore A), TPU (85 Shore A), PP 15GF, PA 15GF and BVOH (water-soluble material).
The Pam o2 and Pam Pro 3D printers are made in France and are aimed at manufacturers, design offices, laboratories, research centres, academia and other industries.
The first 50 Pam Pros will be delivered between September and December 2025 and pre-orders are already available.
about Pollen AM
Founded over 10 years ago, Pollen AM is a French company that designs and develops additive manufacturing solutions. The company offers manufacturers, design offices, laboratories and other industries 3D printers that are open in terms of both materials and machine parameters. pam 3D printers enable users to benefit from a production tool that can be adapted to the needs of projects and materials.
