Syensqo and Aramco to develop composites value chain in Saudi Arabia

Core tips:Syensqo and Aramco signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore a joint venture for composite materials value chain development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ilham Kadri, Syensqo CEO, announced on LinkedIn on 20 November 2025.
Aramco, a leading, integrated energy and chemicals company based in Saudi Arabia, announced 17 MoUs and agreements with US companies on 19 November 2025. Among them, the extension of a MoU with Syensqo is mentioned, specifying that its goal is to “explore localisation of carbon fibre and advanced composites for industrial applications.”

By continuing to collaborate, we are unlocking new opportunities for growth and co-innovation, particularly in efficient industrial applications within the energy sector composites market. The envisioned joint venture will leverage Syensqo’s advanced materials technology and Aramco’s industrial expertise in the region,” comments Ilham Kadri on linkedIn.

On 5-6 May 2026, the JEC Forum Middle East will take place in Riyadh.
